The SWA is a group of equine enthusiasts who share the common bond of
admiring, breeding and/or showing horses, ponies, and Cobs of the Welsh
breed. Welsh Cobs and Ponies can be seen all over the country in
Hunter/Jumper shows, Carriage Driving, English or Western events, Sport
Pony events, or just enjoying a trail ride. The Welsh breed is thriving
in Florida and other southern states, and people are waking up to the
fantastic personality and capability of these strong, wonderful animals!

February 2009 - Florida Carriage Festival and Driving Show
|
We had three ponies represent the Welsh for our
Demonstration each day in Weirsdale on the weekend of Feb 20-22nd.
Section A stallion, BF Oliver Twist, showed off
his gorgeous movement and talents driving with his Owner/Driver Leah
McFarlin.
Section B stallion, Flying Diamond Gypsy Prince
put on a great display of talent under saddle with his rider Marjory
Berkache
and last but not least we had a half welsh, B's
It's The Milkmans with his 4 yr old rider, Brayden Hunter...both
helped work the crowd with their adorable charm!!!
We had a fun, eventful and exciting weekend with
tons of compliments and interests in the Welsh Pony Breed. Thank You To
All!
